Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA Program)
The PEPA Program is nationally funded and provides an opportunity for health professionals to gain practical knowledge and experience by facilitating a placement with a specialist palliative care service.
All three NSW Paediatric Palliative Care Services and Bear Cottage (The NSW PPC Programme) accept applications for PEPA placements throughout the year and welcome any clinician who would like to learn more about the care of children with a life limiting illness and their family.
During the four day PEPA placement, clinicians will spend time alongside the multidisciplinary team in an observer role to gain a greater understanding of palliative care provided to children in hospital (inpatient or outpatient), home or hospice setting.
