Family Voices

The following stories have been shared by our families who are supported by the paediatric palliative care services. We wanted to learn more about their child's personality- especially when they are well and away from the hospital. This may include what makes them laugh or what the family enjoy doing together. Health Professionals and others within the health setting often do not get an opportunity to learn about the individual characteristics of children/young people receiving palliative care. This is because the focus is often on the child's illness and medical management. After reading and watching the stories below, there is so much more to know!
