When to seek professional help
While there are a range of feelings that are normal when your child has a life-limiting illness, it is important to be aware of when these need more specific support.
This includes:
- When fear, worry or stress are severe and/or continue for more than a couple of weeks
- When feelings are preventing you from sleeping, eating, spending time with your child or others, or you’ve lost interest in things you’ve previously found pleasurable.
If this is the case, let someone know- ideally a staff member, GP or counsellor
